Niv Sne

After receiving his medical degree from the University of Ottawa in 1998, Dr. Sne proceeded to complete his General Surgery Training at McMaster University. Following the completion of his residency program, Dr. Sne has taken on a special interest in ventral hernias and abdominal wall reconstruction. Dr. Sne is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery and Trauma with Hamilton Health Sciences and is currently situated at the Hamilton General Site where he runs a growing General Surgery/Trauma practice with a special interest in Abdominal Wall Reconstruction. Over the last decade, Dr. Sne has been a guest speaker at a number of national and international venues surrounding the topic of complex abdominal wall hernias. Additionally, Dr. Sne has recently formalized an AWR course through McMaster University with the intention to create a Hernia Centre of Excellence.  In addition to his clinical interests, Dr. Sne serves as the CTU Director at the Hamilton General Hospital while he continues to participate in both provincial, national and international research studies.  Dr. Sne currently lives on a farm in Brantford where he is enjoying the country life with his wife and three children.
