McMaster University | Anatomy Lab
David Braley Research Institute | CMAS
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the MPACS Intro PD Catheter Insertion Course has been postponed to 2021. Click here to join our mailing list and keep up to date on future events.
This is a two-day, high-tech simulation course that will provide physicians hands-on experience with PD catheter insertions. Attendees will learn both the unguided and the US-guided techniques. On day one, attendees will be in the anatomy lab at McMaster University to review the relevant human anatomy before proceeding to practice insertions on human cadavers in the afternoon. On day two, attendees will continue to practice insertions in the wet lab, hosted by the Centre for Minimal Access Surgery (CMAS).
Due to the hands-on nature of this program, the maximum group size will be limited to four (4) physicians and one (1) nurse per instructor. For more information on the wet lab facilities, please contact CMAS at info@cmas.ca or 905-522-1155 x35144.
