Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to incorporate the following important behaviours and practice guidelines into their clinical practice:
- discuss the principles of trocar incision and the diagnostic of laparoscopy
- understand principles, techniques, results and complications of basic laparoscopic surgery
- identify limiting factors for laparoscopic Cholecystectomy and Appendectomy
- learn the surgical skills and techniques required to safely and effectively perform laparoscopic surgery
- keep current with peer-reviewed literature relevant to the course topic
