Gynecologic Ultrasound Course December 2025

The Gynecologic Ultrasound Course is a training event that provides healthcare professionals with provide comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in gynecologic ultrasound imaging to enhance the understanding of current standards, advanced ultrasound principles and the evaluation of gynecologic abnormalities. The course will be offering a combination of didactic sessions, simulations, cases studies and hands-on learning.
Registration Options:
Join us in person in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada for a full experience that includes an agenda full of lectures, question and answer periods, simulation sessions and hands-on live scanning practice with the guidance of experts in the field. Please note that full-course registration is limited to fifteen (15) participants for optimal hands-on learning experience. Access to presentations and meals, for in person attendees, will be provided.
If you are unable to attend in person, join us virtually from anywhere in the world for access to global experts, curated and time-bound content and observation of the live scanning sessions that are unique to this course.

International Keynote Speaker:

Ligita Jokubkiene is associate professor at Lund university, Sweden and senior consultant in obstetrics and gynecology at the Department of Obstetrics and gynecology, at Skane University Hospital in Malmö, Sweden.
She is an expert in gynecological and obstetrical ultrasound. She has defended her thesis with the title ”Three-dimensional ultrasound studies of normal and abnormal ovaries” in 2012. Currently she is an active researcher leading several research projects with focus on ultrasound diagnostics in gynecology, particularly on endometriosis diagnostics and education, pelvic floor birth-related injuries and pelvic pain. She is also participating in international multicenter studies lead by IOTA, IETA and MUSA groups studying ovarian masses and endometrial and myometrial pathology.
Ligita Jokubkiene organizes and leads national and international courses on ultrasound diagnostics from basic to advanced level. She has been an invited speaker at many international courses and congresses.
Ligita Jokubkiene is chair of Educational courses subcommittee at ISUOG (International Society of ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology); Advisory board member at European Endometriosis league and Board member at IOTAplus; chair of the Ultrasound reference group at Swedish Society of Obstetrics and gynecology in Sweden and a chief supervisor of the medical Students at the Faculty of Medicine, Lund University.
Accreditation Statements
This activity is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and approved by McMaster University, Continuing Health Sciences Education Program for up to 10.0 MOC Section 1 hours.
This activity has been reviewed and approved by Sonography Canada. Participants may claim up to 7.75 Sonography Based CPD Credits for completing this activity.

Learning Objectives
At the end of this learning activity the learners will be able to:
- Define normal anatomy, variants and sonographic evaluation of the uterus to accurately identify and interpret uterine abnormalities
- Analyze the sonographic evaluation of endometriosis in extra-uterine/ovarian regions
- Familiarize themselves with interventional gynecologic ultrasound procedures, specifically sonohysterography and tubal patency evaluation
- Discuss challenging cases and make informed clinical decisions through interactive case studies
- Demonstrate increased knowledge by participating in hands-on opportunities on live patients
