Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to incorporate the following important behaviours and practice guidelines into their clinical practice:

  • discuss the principles of trocar incision and the diagnostic of laparoscopy
  • understand principles, techniques, results and complications of basic laparoscopic surgery 
  • identify limiting factors for laparoscopic Cholecystectomy and Appendectomy 
  • learn the surgical skills and techniques required to safely and effectively perform laparoscopic surgery 
  • keep current with peer-reviewed literature relevant to the course topic

DAY 1
7:00 am - Registration and Breakfast
7:15 am - Welcome & Objectives

3:30pm - Hands-on Practice in Dry lab

DAY 2
7:30 am - Sign-in & Breakfast
8:00 am -  Presentations / Videos
10:00 am - Hands-on Practice in wet lab
2:00 pm - Evaluations & Certificates
